Irma Breakfield, Ed.D.
Board President

Dr. Irma Breakfield is a founding member of One Voice, a community service organization that provides a Scholars Program to prepare and support low-income students from Los Angeles to graduate from college and beyond. She also participated in the development of fundraising activities for the organization.
Irma has a doctorate in Higher Education from California Lutheran University and over 20 years of experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She currently works at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, responsible for providing mental health services for the residents and fellows at the hospital. In her previous role, she served as senior staff therapist and community outreach coordinator at Occidental College and on committees for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and student retention. Independent pursuits include a psychotherapy private practice.
In her spare time, you will find her cooking dishes from around the world, dancing, going to brunch with friends, walking her dog Sparky or on the mat. She is a certified yoga instructor.
