Dr. Karen Miles moved from England to California 25 years ago, and her career in both locations has focused on preparing students and adults for their next career step and on bridging gaps between educational systems. Her background is in career counseling and training, and she has worked with many populations, including high school and college students. Karen co-authored the curriculum, “Building a Bridge to Your Future,” to prepare middle school students to explore careers and develop self-efficacy.  An expert in the areas of dual enrollment and high school articulation, providing early college credit for students, Karen has helped colleges and their K12 partners fix and expand their career pathways. She has published several toolkits and handbooks on equity in early college credit and improving inter-segmental connections to support students transitioning from K12 to the community colleges.
